環境にミストを加えたら生まれた見知らぬシダ。
パルダリウムにミストを追加した影響なのか、あるいは胞子にとって理想的な環境が整ったのか、見知らぬシダが自然に生えてきました。手前の白っぽい色をしているのがそのシダです。
壁（エピウェブ・ハイグロロン）と流木を追加したくらいで、この1年間はほとんど手を加えていません。また、奥のシダ2種のうち、枝分かれしている葉を持つのがミクロソリウム・トライデント（トロピカ）で、これはショップで買いました。もう一方の色が濃いものは、こちらも買った記憶がないのに自然に生えてきました。このシダが目覚めたタイミングは、水位を一週間ほど普通の水槽くらいに上げた後でした。ちょうど、この色合いでちょうどいいサイズのシダたちが欲しかったので、そのままにしています。
好みの環境が整うまで待っていて、時が来ると目覚める植物はその胞子や種のどこで環境を判断しているのでしょうか。ミストを加えたことで思いがけず生まれた出会いに神秘性を感じます。
After adding mist to the paludarium, an unknown fern appeared naturally. It is the one with a light white color in the front.
I've only added a wall (epiweb-hygrolon) and driftwood, and haven't done much else in the past year. Among the two ferns in the back, the one with branching leaves is Microsorum trident (Tropica), which I bought at a shop. The other one with a darker color appeared naturally, even though I don't remember buying it. This fern started to grow after I raised the water level to that of a normal aquarium for about a week. I wanted ferns with this color and the right size, so I'm leaving them as they are.
It's interesting how plants wait for their preferred environment and grow when the time comes. I wonder how spores and seeds judge the environment. I feel a sense of mystery in the unexpected encounter born from adding mist.
